Social engineering is an activity during which a social engineer attempts to influence the target and make it to perform an action that may or may not be in the best interest of the said subject. Because employees are considered the weakest link in any enterprise's security, an attacker can use a social engineering attack to break even the most secure perimeters. To achieve this, social engineers use various types of attacks, such as vishing, phishing, or physical infiltration through impersonation. The goal of our team is to bring information about new attacks led with the social engineering methods and to inform the public about the threats associated with them. We also aim at publishing analyses of the most well-known frauds that have taken advantage of the social engineering techniques.
